Jawaharlal Nehru Prize

To commemorate the occasion of 50 years of independence of India, the Association instituted this annual award in 1999, to be given to an organizations (preferably NGOs) for Popularization of Science. There exist definite eligibility criteria for being selected for this award those are :

The organization has to be duly registered body within India.

The organization should have sustained interest in popularizing science as evidenced by relevant activities.

The award will be made on the basis of the activities carried out duringthe last five years.

The award carries a cash amount of One lakh along with a Plaque and Certificate. A duly authorized representative of the Organization. will be paid T.A. (Air-Fare-economy class-within the country) as per ISCA rules for receiving the award.

The award will be presented at the inaugural or valedictory function of the Science Congress to a duly authorized representative of the Organization.

Nominations for this award will be invited from members of the Council of ISCA.

The final selection is made by a Selection Committee comprising the General President, Two general secretaries, Treasurer, Secretary DST( as an expert) out of the nominations received from the members of ISCA Council.

The last date for receiving nominations is July 31 each year.
