Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Dharitri (Mitra) Tarafdar Memorial Award
(a) For Zoology
With a donation from Chittaranjan Tarafdar husband of Dr.(Mrs.) Dharitri (Mitra) Tarafdar, formerly Professor & Head of the Zoology Department of Jogamaya Devi College, Kolkata, this award was instituted in 2022. To honour scientist’s working in the area of Zoology, Entomology (Insect) and Microbiolog. From 2022 three awards in the area of Zoology, Entomology (Insect) and Microbiology are to be given annually. The awardee shall have to deliver a lecture during the Annual Session of The Indian Science Congress Association in the Section of Animal, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences on a topic of his/her specialization in the area of Zoology. The lecture carries a Gold Medal and Certificate.
(b) For Entomology
